With its rich history Lagoa (in the Algarve) is one on the most popular destination for tourists. First it was a small village which was conquered by the Moors in the 13th century. It's better to visit the town in summer in order to take part in one of its numerous festivities and to dance all night long at the central square.

There is one more reason to come to Lagoa in summer – every August a fair called “Fatacil” is held here. All the participants have an opportunity not only to buy quality products from each corner of Portugal but also to listen to the national bands who come to Lagoa in Algarve to entertain its citizens till late at night.
